When we arrived Friday eveing we went straight to the city center of Oslo where there was packed with people, stands selling food and other artifects, ice and snow sculputeres, live band and many other things. It was so nice!
Saturday we where planning good time to get to the ski arena in Holmenkollen. However, our luck was not on our side that morning. It was so many people at the subway, to packt to barely move around. After 1 hour in queue we finally made it on the subway!! But at the end we where 1 minute late to start of the 15 km pursuit women hehe. Anyways, it was to foggy to see anything at all, so we where just exited to be there :)
All the people wanting to get on the subway! What a crowd!
Very exited to be in the ski arena and cheering for the Norwegians!
Light fog..in the beginning it was even not possible to see accross the stadium!
Two very exited girls!!
One even more exited crowd!! Go Norway!!
Yeeea! Go Germany :)
After the 15 km pursuit women, where Marit Bjørgen, our Norwegian ski queen took the gold medal (very proud!!) we went walking around in the ski arena, to the ice caves by Statoil, having some food and warming up with some cacao :) Afterwards we headed to the Normal hill for ski jumping in Midtstuebakken to see the individual ski jump for men. The Austrian where definetily the strongest!! Not so good performance by the Norwegian and German's.. but we had a very good time anyways :)
A film clip of Simon Amman jumping.

I manage to loose my flag (small one) so I had to get a new one, off course a bigger one hehe!!

Holmenkollen ski jump!
Ready for start!!
First passing before the change of ski's..
Philit Boit from Kenya!! Received as a hero by the audience :) He is a good skier but unfortunately not too good to compete in the top, so he was stopped half way in the race. Even though, he was smiling and waving to the audience and happy to participate, thats the spirit!!
Petter Northug wins gold medal!!! The audience went crazy!! The entire stadium was vibrating, people cheered and hollered :) It was so much fun! We where all very proud hehe :)
King Olav V of Norway.
So happy and proud of Petter!! On the way back to the city :)
Medal ceremony. Petter receives his gold medal! 50 000 people showed up to see him get the gold medal :) People shouted his name and cheering him up on the podium, including me and Wenke!!
When they played the Norwegian national anthem, the entire audience was sang along and Petter was moved to tears!
Later it was a medal ceremony for the team jumps where Norway got silver and Germany got the bronze :)
In the course of the weekend was also Wenke a Norwegian fan :) Love the Norwegian flag!!
